TOUCHING, INHALING OR INGESTING THE BHUT JOLOKIA PEPPER MAY INDUCE SEVERE PAIN. EXTREME CAUTION IS ADVISED IN THE HANDLING OF THE BHUT JOLOKIA PEPPER. We advise wearing long sleeves and gloves, but also protect your eyes, hair, nose, and face as exposure to Bhut Joloka may cause coughing, burning or hot spots in the mouth and/or on the skin, sneezing, anxiety, chest palpitations, shortness of breath, and watery eyes and nose. The duration of these side effects could last more than 24 hours. Natural oils in chili peppers do not respond to soap and water. Antidotes for both internal and external discomfort are milk or yogurt.
